Loving Brew Coffee: Murphy's Fuel is a beautifully balanced blend of coffees from South America. It is a coffee drinkers coffee that will be equally enjoyed in the morning due to its smooth not bitter taste, as well as during the day when a refuelling is necessary.
Roast: Medium
Labeling: The label is of the USS Shark (SSN-591) which was decommissioned and stricken on 15 September 1990. She was a Skipjack Class Submarine.
Name: Murphy's Fuel is named for a Vietnam Era Submariner from her crew.
Dedication: Murphy's Fuel is dedicated to the brave Submariners that face unimaginable peril in the darkest of depths.
Context: This is our first Iconic Coffee and it is one that means a lot to me personally. It is actually named for a person that I admire and have looked up to my entire life. This person was there for me on two really dark days and that means a lot. The name also harkens to my personal family lineage so I am very proud of that as well.
When I was a young boy, I had the honor of touring the USS Shark. I was so impressed with her and still clearly remember that great day.
Submariners are very brave people. It is unimaginable to me to think of being trapped in the darkest depths of the ocean, so we dedicated this fine coffee to all of the submariners in the world.
